RADIATOR REPAIR

Radiator Repair

The Go-To Source for Radiator Repair Services
Proudly Assisting Clarence, Tonawanda, Batavia, West Seneca, Cheektowaga, Buffalo & Amherst, NY Motorists

For those who suspect an issue with their vehicle’s radiator, our mechanics would be happy to inspect it and provide auto services. Typically, there are three major warning signs of radiator failure: your vehicle’s engine will overheat, your vehicle will leak coolant/anti-freeze, or smoke will come from the tailpipe or under the hood. While many people traditionally think of green as the color of coolant (which is true), there is also coolant available in yellow, blue, orange, and pink. If you see a puddle in any of these colors under your vehicle, have it checked out as soon as possible.

However, if you notice other signs of a problem with your vehicle, we recommend bringing it to us for auto repair. You don’t have to be an auto expert and diagnose the problem for us. Just schedule an auto service appointment at our shop, and we can search for the part that’s causing you issues and fix it. Our mechanics have resolved many vehicle complications over the years, and we would be happy to perform auto repairs for any problem you discover.

Signs That You Need Your Radiator Repaired

  1. Overheating: Another sign is if your engine is constantly overheating, even during short trips. This could be due to a malfunctioning thermostat or a clogged radiator, and can also cause steam to appear from under the hood.
  2. Coolant Leaks: This could mean that there is a leak in your radiator or one of the connecting hoses. Leaks can also indicate damaged hoses, which need to be replaced immediately.
  3. Rust: Rust can chip away and mix with the coolant, which reduces efficiency of the radiator, and will eventually a thick substance that needs to be promptly flushed out to prevent additional damage.
  4. Sludge Buildup: When the coolant isn't regularly changed, it will create a thick layer of sludge in the radiator, which can lead to your vehicle overheating.

If you experience any of these issues, it is important to have your radiator inspected and repaired by a professional as soon as possible. Ignoring these signs can lead to additional, more costly auto repairs.
